SUAI (Start Using AI) is a UK training provider delivering UK Government funded AI Skills Bootcamps alongside a self-funded option for learners and businesses who want to explore AI foundations, tools and workflows. Programmes run over 8–10 weeks and are designed for adults who want to use AI confidently at work, in their career, or in their own business.

**What is SUAI?**
SUAI (Start Using AI) is a UK-based training provider that helps adults and small businesses learn to use AI tools confidently in their everyday work. We deliver UK Government funded Skills Bootcamps and a self-funded option.

**Who is SUAI for?**
SUAI is for UK adults aged 19 and over who want to build practical AI skills. No tech background is needed. Learners include the self-employed, employees being referred by an employer, jobseekers, career changers, and small business owners exploring AI for their business.

**How long do the programmes run?**
SUAI Skills Bootcamps run over 8 to 10 weeks, with live online sessions and guided practice between sessions.

**How much do SUAI bootcamps cost?**
For eligible learners, the UK Government funded Skills Bootcamp is free. Employer-referred learners may need a small employer contribution. A self-funded option is available for anyone outside the funded eligibility criteria or who simply wants to learn at their own pace.

**What is the self-funded option?**
The self-funded route is for individuals and business owners who want to learn AI foundations and explore the latest AI tools and systems for their work or business, without going through the funded eligibility process. Details are on the [Self-funded page](/self-funded).

**What will I learn on a SUAI Skills Bootcamp?**
Practical AI foundations, prompting techniques, hands-on use of leading AI chatbots and tools, automating everyday tasks, and applying AI to real business or career problems.

**How do I apply?**
Choose your regional programme page (for example [West Sussex](/west-sussex)) or the [Self-funded](/self-funded) page and complete the short application form. Eligibility is checked based on age, employment status, location and previous bootcamp history.

**Where does SUAI operate?**
SUAI is UK-wide for the self-funded route. Funded Skills Bootcamps are delivered in partnership with regional authorities — current active region: West Sussex.
